Thank you for your generosity

January 21, 2021

Dear Friend of Turning Point,

I simply wanted to thank you for your generosity in giving to our church this past year. God has done many things worthy of celebration this year, but one of the things I’m proudest about is how our church responded to our “For The Love” initiative. We set a goal of raising $150,000 in year-end giving to continue to do ministry well and to move into our new church home. You prayed to your Heavenly Father, you listened, you stepped out in faith and together we crushed that goal and gave $164,000. That’s amazing! Because of your generosity you have put Turning Point Church in a great place to achieve our mission of “helping people experience a life changing relationship through Jesus Christ.”

As we are now in full relaunch mode with our church, I want to share two things with you. One, God has expanded our vision of how we will be the church in 2021. Moving forward we deeply believe that God has called us to be the church both in person and online. Why? Because the church of Jesus Christ has always been about its people and not a building. So, whether you serve with us in the community, join us in the building or engage online, you are of value and we are in this together. We simply ask for your payer and patience as we navigate this new reality of being the church.

Two, we will be spending several weeks casting vision for our church starting Sunday, January 31. I would love for you to be a part of this in person or online. Part of that vision casting will start with a new series I’m teaching called “Big Church.” The church of Jesus Christ started as and always has been a movement. And guess what? Movements move. This year I believe God is calling us as a church to move on mission like never before. Another part of that vision casting will take place with a church partners gathering led by myself and our Executive Leadership Team (XLT) early this year. We will keep you posted on that date.

I shared with you back in November a verse that God had laid on my heart for our church. Jesus said it this way, “Everything is possible for the one who believes” (Mark 9:23). Thank you for having that kind of faith when it comes to your giving. God is doing some things in our church, that by ourselves, are impossible. But God, He makes all things possible.

Together let’s continue to be a church of deep faith. Let’s go all in. Let’s not hold back.

Deeply grateful,

Steve Gill, Lead Pastor,
