Join us as we provide Thanksgiving meals to the 50 families of New Horizons. We will be giving the meals to families on Thursday, November 18, at the Rosemary Facility. Help by donating a meal and/or handing out meals on November 18. Details inside!

The Gathering is a four-week, medium-size group experience on Wednesday evenings starting on October 27. This new experience will give each of us an opportunity to connect, eat dinner, and study God's Word in an interactive manner together. We are also providing childcare so you can attend and your kids can have fun! Make sure you sign up if you will be attending, eating or need childcare.

The fall season is here and this is usually the time when everyone "gets back at it." The summer is over. Kids are back at school. Most of us have settled back into more of our normal routines of life. And with the fall ramp up many of us cruise right back into busy mode and our lives get filled with commitments.
But what about our faith in Jesus? This series will look at the simple fact that in our busy lives full of commitments, Jesus needs to come first, no matter what. Together let's see what it takes to have a reset in our faith and get back at it with what is most important.
We are very excited to once again partner with Better Together to host our second job fair of this year on October 14. Nine employers will be present to speak with job seekers on the spot and offer new opportunities in life. To make an event like this happen we need your help. We are looking for volunteers to serve the day of the event or donate money to help make this event possible. You won’t want to miss this life changing event for job seekers in our area.
"I'm not okay"
Have you ever thought those words as you struggle through your life? Absolutely! Then why is it so hard to say them? Why is it so hard to admit that before God and with others? Is it possible that the work that God wants to do in our life starts with the admission of "I'm not okay?"
Join us for the next few weeks as Pastor Steve shares with us part of his recent story where he battled some severe health issues and how God worked through those experiences. We believe this teaching series will be powerful! Together we explore the idea that the healing we desire from God, in so many parts of our lives, often starts with us admitting those three words: "I'm not okay."
As we continue our partnership with New Horizons, we are learning of specific families that need immediate help with groceries. So we are going to help them out. On Sunday, August 29, we are are holding our next Sunday Serve Day. There will be no worship service this day. Instead, we will meet at the church and then go to Publix to purchase needed items for these families. Once purchased we will drive to New Horizons to deliver the food to the families. Sometimes it is good to leave everything at the door and just take a moment of worship and prayer with our Creator. With the busyness of life it is not always the easiest to do. Lets change that. Join us on August 26, from 7pm-8pm as we focus on our God. We will worship him for what he is doing in our lives and we will lift up our prayers to him and turn over our needs, hardships, struggles, and anything else we are carrying with us.

Oak Creek Charter School has expanded and built a brand new building for their middle school students. They have asked us to help them get the building ready for the upcoming school year. They asked that we help put furniture together and move it into the building. They would like our help the week of July 26. If you are interested in helping, sign up now and we can confirm a specific day and time.
Stick around after service on Sunday, July 11th for a time to get to know some of the people at Turning Point Church. This is a super informal gathering to allow each of us a bit of time for some conversation with others in our lobby or outside. We will have coolers full of water, sodas, and juice boxes. Join us for a new series on how our understanding of Jesus' words about his kingdom impact how we think and how we live our lives each and every day.
A couple of times a year we give the gift of time to our volunteer and staff teams to breathe a bit and to enjoy their families. We want our teams to be refreshed and to serve with passion. That means that Sunday, July 4th we will NOT be having service to give that time back to our teams. We will however be back in person and online Sunday, July 11th with a new series and our outreach!

Summer break just started, but the new school year will be here soon. Join us as we Stuff The Bus to help kids start the school year right with new school supplies and shoes. Starting June 20, you can sign up to donate items for a student at New Horizons. Once you sign up, our Outreach Team will send you the shoe size of the child you have been given. Then join us on July 11 when New Horizons brings a school bus to our church service and we Stuff the Bus with all the items that have been donated.

This series is all about becoming more like Christ. In fact, one of the words often used in this conversation is discipleship. For the next several weeks, in person and online, we are going on a journey to find out what true discipleship in Christ looks like. When it's all said and done, we will have discovered the proverbial “X that marks the spot” in what it truly means to be a follower of Jesus.
The mission for Turning Point Church is to help others experience a life changing relationship through Jesus Christ. It's through that relationship with Jesus, that we are all welcome to be a part of this community that God created. What better way to help someone experience that then by helping them get a job to contribute to the community. We are thrilled to help provide a second chance to others and at the same time experience a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Join us as we partner with Better Together on this nationwide day of second chances to offer a second chance job fair for our neighbors here in SW Florida. We need help for greeters, registration table, job coaches, prayer warriors, and floaters to possibly do a little bit of everything. Hope to see you there!
Every day, parents are looking for help, guidance, or just a friend to talk to as they face the struggles of parenthood. On Saturday, April 17, we are inviting all of the families of Better Together to Turning Point Church for a parent luncheon. We will provide lunch, child care, as well as a presentation on child behavior and parenting. We need help with greeting, food table attendees, and child care. We hope to see you there.
We are so excited that you joined us for Easter and we'd love for you to join us again for some great events in April. How about a fun day for kids called "PJ's and Poptart Day" or serve our community with the "Second Chance Job Fair." All we are asking is that you come back once and participate in one of these great events to get further connected.
