Warrior Notes-A Battle To Win

Here are the notes to Pastor Steve’s message for week #3 of “Warrior.” Feel free to print them and follow along during the online message at 9:55 a.m on Facebook.

Three things that God has given to every warrior:

  1. _________________ to _________________.

  2. A _________________ to _________________.

  3. A_________________ to _________________.

“Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hand for war, my fingers for battle.”  Psalm 144:1

Key Questions a warrior must ask

  • What is the battle you have to _________________   ________   _________________ right now?

  • What do you have to ______________ today to _________________ today?

Prepare for battle! Soldiers at attention!  Present arms! Advance! Turn your shovels into swords, turn your hoes into spears.  Let the weak one throw out his chest and say, “I’m tough, I’m a fighter.”  Joel 3:9-11

How do you become the warrior God calls you to be?

  • Victory isn’t always about what you conquer _________________.

  • Victory is about being _________________ and _________________ today.

  • Victories are won later through _________________     _________________.

  • Smaller victories_________________ lead to bigger victories _________________.

“Live in me. Make your home in me just as I do in you. In the same way that a branch can’t bear grapes by itself but only by being joined to the vine, you can’t bear fruit unless you are joined with me.  “I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing. John 15:4-5 (MSG)

So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God’s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us.   Romans 8:31-34
